Chongqing Museum Photos
This terra cotta warrior is different from the ones in Xi'an, but it is also a great collection of Cultural Relics.
Situated on the top of Pipashan Mountain, Chongqing Museum was founded in 1951 as the Southwest Museum and was renamed to the present one in 1955. Covering an area of 5500 sqm, it has more than 40 exhibiting halls with about 100,000 relics, spanning over 3,000 years from the ancient Kingdom of Ba and the near-mythical Three Kingdoms Period to World War Two and the Chinese Revolution.

Is it too cold to visit Chongqing in DECEMBER please? (I had postponed my trip which was supposed to have taken place two weeks ago (in mid-November) due to the reports about the bad weather in China then). Thank you.

Yes, Dec will be cold, when the temperature is about 5~8C. You should wear warm clothes, such as down jacket and woolen sweater. On the other hand, be carefule of the H1N1, which will spread widely while the weather is becoming cold.
