Is your itinerary UK - Beijing - Japan, and then Japan - Hong Kong - UK? If yes, and you don't have any other stop in other mainland Chinese cities, you may be eligible for the visa-free transit and no visa is needed.

For the first itinerary UK - Beijing - Japan, if your stop is less than 24 hours, you are eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit. If it is over 24 hours and less than 144 hours, you are okay with 144-hour visa-free transit. Still, no visa is needed and you can apply for a temporary entry permit at the airport to visit Beijing City. However, if you have stops in other cities or stay longer than 144 hours, you do need to obtain a visa in advance.

As for the second itinerary, Japan - Hong Kong - UK, Hungarian passport holders can visit HK visa-free for at most 90 days.

American on holiday Budapest needing business visa to China
I am an American on holiday in Budapest and I need to travel for work to China on July 21st. I can’t get my Visa in the US as II will be flying home to the US on July 20th – one day before I plan to travel to China. Is it possible to get this Visa from the Chinese Embassy in Budapest, even though I am flying to China from the US?

It's somehow difficult if you are only a tourist in Hungary without a resident permit of that country.

Maybe you can fly this way: Budapest - China - US to be eligible for the 144-hour visa free transit. But you should know that you can only stay in one transit area in this case and can stay for up to 144 hours only.

Business trip - 2 times/multiple
Hello, our group will travel on 14th of October from Budapest to Hongkong (15 people). The hotel will be in Shenzen. The program is: 1st day Shenzen, 2nd day Hongkong, 3rd day Macao, 4th day Shenzen, 5th day Honkong and travel back with plane. Thatswhy I asked for a multiple business M for them but we got 2 times entry business M, valid for 30 days/entry. Is is a problem for us? Because the hotel will be in Shenzen so I calculated we need multiple visa.

Hi, in your trip, the double entries visa will be fine. Don't worry about that too much.

Hi, if you are told to apply in Sofia/Bulgaria by the consular officers, you are advised to do that in there.
