Easter Island Exploration

Welcome to Santiago de Chile! Our driver and the guide will wait for you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in 25 minutes. After a short break, we will start our tour in Santiago. The first stop is Cerro San Cristóbal in the city center where a large public park is located. Then we will visit the presidential palace La Moneda Palace and the landmark Plaza de Armas'.

After breakfast, our driver and the guide will pick you up and lead you to the east port city Valparaiso within 1.5 hours. Renowned as the cultural capital of Chile, there are plenty of unique artistic graffiti and colorful houses. We will tour Echaurren Square, port, old bank, Concepción and Alegre Hills where gather numerous handicrafts and artists' studios. Then we will pay a visit to Casas del Bosque winery in Casablanca Valley to taste the delicious wine.

Today, we will officially start our Easter Island vacation. Our driver will transfer you to the Santiago airport. After taking the flight to Hanga Roa Airport, you will be greeted warmly with a flower necklace and then transferred to the hotel in 15 minutes. In the afternoon, we will begin with Ahu Akivi where 7 rebuilt moai statues stand facing to the sea. It is said that these statues represent the seven explorers sent to Easter Island (locally called Rapa Nui) by the king Hotu Matua. Then we will go sightseeing Hanga Poukura, a splendid Ahu site. There are a large numer of moai statues on the ground and headwears scattered here and there. The next stop is an important quarry Puna Pau which is the only resource when native Rapa Nui villagers carved Pukaos. Finally, the ceremonial ground in Tahai will be visited. Here, we will see three Ahu sites: prothetic moai statues, dock site and a boat ramp.

Today you will know more about the charming history of Rapa Nui. After breakfast, we will drive southward along the coastline. On the way, you can feast your eyes on the black volcanic rock and the spectacular coastline scenery of Pacific Ocean. Today's first stop is Hanga Te'e. There are plenty of Moai statues of Ahu Vaihu torn down onto the floor. Then continue to Rano Raraku where the ancient quarry is situated. 95 percent of the sculptures on the island are carved here. We will enjoy our box lunch here. Afterwards, head to Ahu Tongariki. It is the largest restored Ahu on Easter Island with 15 moai islands. Then take the car to Te Pito Te Henua in the east coastline near Ahu Te Pito Kura. It is regarded as the the belly button of the earth. Followed by is Anakena Beach which is famous for beautiful white sand and coconut trees. We will also tour the restored mosi statue, Ahu Nau Nau, in the nearby area. Finally, go back to the hotel after spending a leisure time on the beach.

You will be led to Rano Kau Volcano by the driver and the guide after breakfast. Along the way, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the whole island and make a stopover at the viewpoint of crater lake. Then follow the guide to the etiquette village Orongo. We will learn more about its history and culture, observe various rock paintings and see the three small islands opposite the coastline. Afterwards, go sightseeing Ahu Vinapu and see the interesting murals in the cave of Ana Kai Tangata. After the tour, the guide and the driver will transfer you back to the hotel. In the afternoon, it is your free time. You can appreciate the sea scenery by yourself.

In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport by the local driver according to your flight schedule for the flight to Santiago de Chile. Upon arrival, the driver will escort you to the hotel.
